Jean de Mandeville

Jean de Mandeville (auch Jehan de Mandeville, Johannes von Mandeville oder John (of) Mandeville, in englischen Übersetzungen auch John Maundevylle^[1]) nennt sich der unbekannte Verfasser einer zwischen 1357 und 1371 aus verschiedenen Quellen zusammengestellten französischsprachigen Schilderung einer Reise ins „Heilige Land“, den Fernen Osten und das Königreich des Priesterkönigs Johannes.
